U.S. Army PFC John H. Poore served in the Korean War and lost his life at the young age of 20. His Purple Heart was awarded posthumously, and somehow ended up at a garage sale years later. Luckily, with the help of concerned citizens and Purple Hearts Reunited, two great-nephews of PFC Poore were presented with the medal and its story in early October of 2014.
