Sergeant Edward Engler served at Fort Drum, NY with the 10th Mountain Division and in the War on Terror. His Purple Heart was lost in a storage unit in Madison, WI, and was found by a teenage girl nearby. With the help of Purple Hearts Reunited and her parents, Sam, the young girl, was able to arrange for the return of the medal to Engler. Here, Sam’s father Dale is shown returning the medal to its rightful owner.
