TSGT John M. Bischoff served in both WWII and Korea.

He served with the 355th Infantry Regiment, 89th Infantry Division. He was wounded on 06 MAY 1945 in Germany when the jeep he was driving was hit by artillery.

His other decorations include the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Occupation of Germany Medal, American Campaign Medal, EAME, and WWII Victory Medal.

A thief broke into his home and stole his Purple Heart out of his sock drawer. He wanted to replace his medal in order to pass it onto his daughter before he passed.

He was surprised at his home with his framed medals and a new friendship was born.

Thank You for your Service John!
